Product Description
Introduction
Annoyed with drill bits that strip, skip, or wear out in the middle of your work? We understand the frustration. This is where we have engineered GREMAH Hex Shank Bits that are meant to tackle the hardest tasks in modern day architecture. These hex shank bits are made to be robust companions for any type of wallboard – high-density fiber cement boards, exterior grade cement boards and regular drywalls. Over 20 years of GREMAH experience in the building materials application ensures exceptional structural integrity and accuracy - the result of using modern manufacturing methods to produce these bits. Because they effortlessly drive screws into more compact products without bending or breaking, these perform this quickly enough that you will conserve time and funds. Great for Architects, Contractors and Customers that will not compromise quality in their bit as it simplifies your build, making it more efficient and quicker.
Recommended Applications
• Fiber Cement & Calcium Silicate Boards → Drive screws into the densest boards without cracking the substrate. • Exterior Wall Coating: Perfect for outside works as they can hold up against the elements with a much higher-grade weather-resistant topcoat. • Drywall & False Ceilings: Smooth, Tight-Fit Finishes on Walls and Acoustic Drop Ceiling Systems • Metal & Wood Framing: Ideal for fastening panels to light gauge steel, and wooden frame.
Installation Guidelines
Step 1 - Select The Right Tool: GREMAH Hex Shank Bit Fits Any Standard 1/4-inch Impact Driver or Power drill Tighten up the chuck. Step 2 - Insert the screw: Stick your drywall or fiber cement screw to the magnetic tip of the bit. It will primarily stay in place because of the strong magnet. Step 3 - Alignment: Keep your drill positioned at an exact 90-degree angle to the board surface. This eliminates cam-out and protects the screw head as well as the bit. Step 4 - Steady Pressure — Begin at a slow, steady speed in your drill. Speed up slowly once the screw is getting into the fiber cement board or calcium silicate board. Step 5 - Flush the Finish: Set the screw so that your head is exactly above the surface of your board.
FAQ
Q: Are these hex shank bits compatible with standard drills?
Absolutely! Our bits feature a universal 1/4-inch hex shank design, making them perfectly compatible with all standard power drills, impact drivers, and screwdrivers.
Q: Can I use these bits for exterior cladding?
Yes, you can. GREMAH Hex Shank Bits are treated with an advanced rust and corrosion-resistant coating, making them highly reliable for exterior grade cement board installations and outdoor weathering.
Q: What makes GREMAH Hex Shank Bits better for fiber cement boards?
Fiber cement boards and calcium silicate boards are incredibly dense. Standard bits wear out quickly or strip the screw heads. Our bits are forged from high-grade, shock-resistant steel with precision tips that handle high-torque applications without slipping, ensuring a clean and secure drive every time.
Q: Do they have magnetic tips?
Yes, each bit comes with a powerful magnetic tip that securely holds the screw, allowing for easy, one-handed operation—especially useful when working on ceilings or tight spaces.
